In order to purchase a lot in agricultural zoning,
non-residents of Quebec must obtain authorization from the
Commission Protectrice du Territoire Agricole de Québec
(C.P.T.A.Q.).
A person who does not reside in Quebec and who wishes to
obtain an authorization under this Act must submit an
application to the commission accompanied by all the
documents and information required by government regulation
and, where applicable, payment of the prescribed fees. to
submit this request.
This request must be accompanied by a sworn declaration
mentioning the reasons for the acquisition of the
agricultural land, its planned use and, if applicable, the
applicant's intention to settle in Quebec."
